Who you are contracting with
Work is carried out by Fuel Fixer Ltd, company no 08520551, registered at Fairway House, Portland Road, East Grinstead, RH19 4ET, trading as part of Forecourt Assist.
Booking and quotation
Bookings are taken by phone. From just £89 misfuel callout fee. The full price for your specific job is confirmed on the call, before a technician travels. If the job turns out to be different from what was described on the phone, you are told before further work is done, not after.
What is included
A standard drain covers removal of the contaminated fuel, a flush of the fuel lines, fresh fuel to get you to a filling station, priming and a running check. Replacement parts — filters, pumps, injectors — are not included in the call-out and are quoted separately.
What is not included
We do not carry out engine repairs, and we do not guarantee that a vehicle driven a long distance on the wrong fuel will be undamaged. Where we believe the vehicle needs a workshop rather than a roadside drain, we will say so.
Waste fuel
Fuel removed from your vehicle is controlled waste and leaves with us under a waste transfer note. It is not returned and it is not resold to you.
Cancellation
Cancel before the technician sets off and there is nothing to pay. Once a technician is travelling, the call-out may be chargeable, and you will be told that at the point of booking.
Liability and your rights
Nothing here limits your statutory rights as a consumer. Complaints are handled under the procedure at /complaints/.

Questions we get asked
How long will I be waiting?
Arrival depends where you are across DL1, DL2 and DL3 and what is already running. You get a realistic window on the call rather than an optimistic one.
Can I just top it up with the right fuel?
No. Dilution does not fix contamination, and driving to a filling station to try it is the mile that turns a drain into a repair.
Is there an out-of-hours surcharge?
The call-out is the call-out. Whatever the total is, you hear it on the phone before anyone travels.
Do I need to stay with the vehicle?
Usually yes, so we can hand it back to you running. If you cannot stay, say so on the call and we will work out how to do it.
What if I have already driven it?
Still call. Most vehicles driven a short distance are recoverable. Tell us how far you got, because it changes the kit we bring.
What about a van or a hire car?
Same job. With a hire car, ring the hire company too — some policies cover a misfuel drain and it is worth knowing before you pay.
